Grilling is a summer must-have. It rhymes with sun, friends and family. Without it, vacations aren't really vacations anymore. In the garden, on the terrace of your cottage, by the sea or even the river... it's impossible to spend a summer without lighting the barbecue. Everywhere, spaces are being set up for this purpose, so you might as well take advantage of it!
At the Club Farret campsite, enjoy a space dedicated to grilling. Near the Tao swimming pool and in the holiday home district our barbecues are waiting for you! All you need to do is come with your grill and your charcoal. It’s an opportunity to make new friendships and meet other campers.
If you prefer the privacy of your vacation rental, it is also possible to slip your personal barbecue into your luggage. Gas, electric, coal, they are all accepted at Club Farret. Ideal for getting together with family and enjoying summer temperatures with a Mediterranean rhythm.
The most important thing in grilling is to choose your meat carefully! It must be of quality so that your grill is unforgettable. On site, buy your meat at the supermarket butcher's to be sure you don't make a mistake. Skewers, pork chops, merguez, pieces of beef, chicken... marinated or plain... Our butcher will be able to advise you according to your desires. All you have to do is master cooking to achieve perfection.
The advantage of barbecue is that it goes well with all types of side dishes: rice salad, chips, vegetables, potatoes. Camembert cooked over embers for those with a sweet tooth and fruit for a touch of freshness... You are spoiled for choice, so be creative!
To avoid problems, always remember to grill safely. Keep water nearby to control the fire. Place your barbecue in a place sheltered from the wind so as not to fan the embers. Remember to properly extinguish your barbecue when you no longer need it (using the ashes or the lid). In general, avoid grilling on windy days.
You don't want to cook or you just don't have the equipment? The L’aventure restaurant welcomes you every evening for excellent wood-fired grills. Enjoy Tomahawk prime rib and picanha skewers with stunning views of the pool. Meat lovers will be in heaven.
To give a unique aroma to your meat, do not hesitate to sprinkle the charcoal with spices: bay leaf, thyme or rosemary for a typically Mediterranean grill.
Leave your meat at room temperature before cooking it. If you buy your meat the same day, there is no need to keep it in the fridge.
On the barbecue, red embers are ideal for cooking meats that sear over high heat. Gray embers are better suited to gentle cooking.
Never prick the meat, otherwise you will lose all the juices (except for sausages). Use tongs or a spatula to turn the meat.
To give your meat a smoky taste, choose vine branches, oak or even birch over charcoal.
