Club Farret is one of the first campsites in Vias Plage. Since 1956, the Farret and Giner families have welcomed vacationers of all nationalities and all backgrounds. Flashback to the history of a small campsite which has become a reference in the outdoor hotel industry.

Once upon a time there was Farret
It all started in 1956 on the shores of the Mediterranean. Henriette and André Farret created the Farinette campsite in Vias Plage on a former marshy area. It is one of the very first campsites to emerge in Vias Plage. No one can yet predict the growth that tourism and the success of the family business will experience. It is a small establishment where life is good, where vacationers are almost all regulars. At the time, there were no cottages or mobile homes, holidaymakers pitched their tents facing the sea. Despite everything, Farret already stood out from the competition by being the first campsite to be equipped with sanitary facilities. Real state-of-the-art installations, this service is a high-end innovation in the 1950s.
From Farinette campsite to Club Farret
Club Farret is also the story of a meeting. That of Danielle, the daughter of Henriette and André, and of Robert who is staying at the campsite at Vias Plage for the first time. He falls under the spell of Danielle and the Farret campsite, he will never leave the place.
Self-taught, passionate and visionary, now at the head of the company, Robert innovates: rental accommodation, aquatic complex, openness to foreign customers, high-end services... Farinette campsite becomes Club Farret. A modern, high-end campsite which has retained the authentic, friendly and family spirit of its beginnings.
In 2007, Robert passed the campsite on to his son Philippe who joined the family business at a young age. For 15 years, he trained with his father, integrating all the services and occupying all the positions. He knew how to prove himself.
The first campsite with themed rentals in Hérault
Like father, like son. Philippe innovates and takes risks, to offer an ever more intense, unique and extraordinary experience to his travelers.
His travels around the world inspired him and he quickly developed the concept of themed neighborhoods. Its objective is to take its customers on trips to the four corners of the world, to change their scenery and make them dream so that their experience at Farret is always different from that offered by other Vias campsites.
In 2012, the first rental district with lagoons was created at Club Farret. Pacific cottages are quickly becoming the most popular. Building on this success, the Marina district wasted no time in appearing in 2015.
Completely unprecedented in France, the creation of these districts was a real challenge both architecturally and technically. What differentiates them the most from other campsite rentals and the competition: the water at the foot of the cottage. A lagoon approximately 30cm deep in which swimming is permitted. Large furnished terraces allow you to enjoy the landscape and the freshness of the lagoons.
Their unique & innovative character perfectly reflects the Giner family's desire: to cultivate one's difference and never be like anyone else. Shaking up the codes, revisiting and modernizing camping holidays… That’s the Farret touch!
Club Farret was able to convince thanks to its swimming pools, its services, and its rentals worthy of a 5-star campsite but above all thanks to the investment and passion of the Farret and Giner Families.
More and more of you are becoming regular customers and joining the big Farret family and we thank you for that. You contribute every day to writing the history of our family and Club Farret.
Today Farret has 130 employees (including 30 permanent), 692 accommodations, 76,848 nights, a capacity of 3000 people/day... Awarded by the greatest European guides, a model in the hotel industry outdoors.

Le Farret is above all a team dedicated to the happiness of our vacationers. Men and women who make up the soul of our campsite. Every year you find the same faces and the same smiles: at the bar, at reception, in maintenance, in entertainment... You like the staff, their sympathy, their good humor.
Everyone contributes to making Farret what it is, a vacation spot yes but not only that. Le Farret is also the place where you create family memories and where you forge unique bonds with us. Some of you have already been coming for several generations and have become friends.
This is Club Farret, a family campsite made up of teams who like to work together and get together every year.

2012
Creation of the Pacific district with lagoons, the first of its kind in France and Europe. A unique experience for our customers. A technical and architectural feat that has made the campsite famous internationally. The Pacific district will be followed by the Marina district in 2015. Club Farret then finds its universe and what differentiates it from the competition. This is the beginning of themed neighborhoods with careful decor and thought out down to the smallest detail so that the change of scenery is complete.

2013
Continuing, the Tao pool is created. A true reproduction of a Balinese temple, this aquatic area with pool bar is certainly our customers' favorite. In a campsite this is unheard of! Le Farret lives up to its reputation as a pioneer.

2018
Creation of the third covered and discoverable aquatic area with slides. Swimming is now possible in all weathers.

2019
Opening of the Fitness Club, a gym that rivals professional clubs. 500m² dedicated to sport with state-of-the-art and brand new equipment: a cardio zone (with around ten treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowers), a complete weight training area with numerous machines but also a cage for practicing Crossfit.
